Installing Deep Daze
Introduction

Its actually quite simple to install and run Deep-Daze on any Ubuntu 20.04 system, assuming that:

1.) You have a supported NVIDIA GPU (your GPU supports CUDA toolkit)
2.) Your GPU meets the requirements here (NOTE: Although it does say AMD GPUS are supported, I couldnt manage it get it working. Will update if this changes)
and 3.) You know how to use command flags (will be explained later)

Here is an overview of the steps:
1.) Install python3-pip
2.) Install CUDA toolkit
3.) Install Deep-Daze
-.) Troubleshooting

Step 1.) Install Python3-pip


So this is probably the fastest step. Ubuntu generally comes with python3 pre-installed with your OS, so all thats needed is pip3, which is the python package manager (similar to apt, yum, etc). In order to install this, open the terminal and run $ sudo apt install python3-pip.

Step 2.) Install CUDA toolkit


Installing CUDA is actually also pretty straight forward. CUDA is a platform toolkit developed by NVIDIA that is often used in AI/neural network projects. In our case, Deep-Daze uses CUDA for image generation. To install this, go to the CUDA download page and run through the steps. For most people, the options

LINUX > x86_64 > UBUNTU > 20.04 > deb(local)

are the ones you want. As of 6/6/21, the installation commands from the CUDA download site are:
$ wget https://developer.download.nvidia.com/compute/cuda/repos/ubuntu2004/x86_64/cuda-ubuntu2004.pin
$ sudo mv cuda-ubuntu2004.pin /etc/apt/preferences.d/cuda-repository-pin-600
$ wget https://developer.download.nvidia.com/compute/cuda/11.3.1/local_installers/cuda-repo-ubuntu2004-11-3-local_11.3.1-465.19.01-1_amd64.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i cuda-repo-ubuntu2004-11-3-local_11.3.1-465.19.01-1_amd64.deb
$ sudo apt-key add /var/cuda-repo-ubuntu2004-11-3-local/7fa2af80.pub
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get -y install cuda
